Personal Training and Fitness
Welcome to KSFitness, Chichester's Leading Personal Training Service and part of the Fresh Start Health group.
There are many different reasons why an individual may choose to appoint a personal trainer. One main reason is to motivate you to participate in regular exercise. It may also be because you have been a long term gym user but you have not achieved your goals or feel the results reflect your efforts.
We will give you a comprehensive assessment to assess your goals as well as formulate specific movement dysfunctions that may be causing ongoing issues or preventing further progress.
We will work to find the best way for you to reach your health and fitness goals with focussed training.
Our personal training service also encompasses rehabilitation following injury. This service runs alongside your physiotherapist to ensure a specific approach to strength and conditioning and return you to your pre injury state.
Strength and conditioning can also be used to make your sporting involvement faster, stronger and protect against injury.
With demanding lifestyles, today’s professionals can struggle to prioritise fitness and exercise in an effective regime. At KSFitness we can help you to escape from the stress and pressures of everyday life and achieve your goals in the most time effective way.

What we specialise in
Rehabilitation & Prehabilitation
Whilst rehabilitation has been utilised for many years, the concept of prehabilitation is slowly becoming mainstream amongst trainers and healthcare professionals. There are two distinct branches that are now used to distinguish between the differing needs of the client.
The first, non sport related branch involves prehabilitation prior to a medical procedure. Typically this would be orthopaedic in nature, improved cardiac function (fitness), proprioreception (balance), biomechanical function and supporting musculature (strength) will allow a quicker recovery post surgery. Prescribed exercises are generally low impact, but even a very gentle programme of targeted exercises a few months prior to surgery can produce significant improvements in recovery.
Proactive preventative maintenance based on strength, balance and mobility, in combination with massage and improved flexibility can go a long way to improving your long term health regardless of age or physical condition.
The second branch is sports specific and targets common injuries and strength imbalances in a particular sport in order to prevent both the likelihood and severity of injuries. If an injury should occur, despite the careful preparation, those who have taken part in prehabilitation exercises often have an improved pace of recovery.
When used with your history and lifestyle demands this will help formulate a prescriptive progressive programme (which may include SCENAR therapy), tailored to your specific needs, in order to optimise your functional fitness.
